| Discovering Performance Anti-Patterns at JavaOne |
|
Patrycja Wegrzynowicz speaks at JavaOne (Sep. 19-23, San Francisco, California, USA) about performance anti-patterns in Java applications along with automated ways to detect them. Everyone knows JavaOne! JavaOne is the most important and prestigous event in the Java world. Java is everywhere, from the smallest devices to the largest datacenters and clouds. It permeates the world around us, enabling a rich, personalized experience from an infinite number of services across a vast number of devices. This year's JavaOne goes back to its roots and showcases through increased content how Java technology is evolving, allowing developers to leverage tools and resources to build compelling offerings and individualized services across all the screens of our lives. Attendees can:
Patrycja Wegrzynowicz, CTO of Yon Consulting, will present several performance anti-patterns along with Yonita, a static analysis tool to discover them. The identified anti-patterns relate to inefficient call and data flows in the context of web-programming, communication, and data manipulation. To automatically discover them we use Yonita, a sermantic code query system developed by Yon Labs, a division of Yon Consulting. Yonita can be used to detect various patterns and anti-patterns in software, including bugs along with a range of security vulnerabillities, performance bottlenecks, transactional issues, and others.
