Patrycja Wegrzynowicz, CTO of Yon Consulting, presents "Best Bugs, Best Practices, and Best Tools for Hibernate" at Strange Loop 2010 (Oct. 14-15, St. Louis, Montana, USA). Strange Loop is a developer-run software conference. Innovation, creativity, and the future happen in the magical nexus "between" established areas. Strange Loop eagerly promotes a mix of languages and technologies in this nexus, bringing together the worlds of bleeding edge technology, enterprise systems, and academic research. During Strange Loop Patrycja Wegrzynowicz will discuss how to improve quality and performance of hibernate applications. Hibernate is the most popular object-relational mapping library for Java (and used for most other JVM-based languages), providing a framework for mapping an object-oriented domain model to a traditional relational database. Patrycja will show several flaws in usage of hibernate accompanied by alternative solutions and best practices, which help to improve performance and quality of both database and object-oriented models. Moreover, she will present a free online tool developed by Yon Labs, a division of Yon Consulting - the tool uses static to automatically discover concurrency-related issues with hibernate and database transactions. |
